We are seeking an experienced Grocery Department Manager to manage the Grocery Department of ChoiceMART Supermarket.
- Manage and monitor daily grocery department operations and overall conditions of the department,
- Manage department inventory, pricing, and merchandising,
- Plan and place orders and interact with vendors, suppliers, and distributors,
- Monitor product display, signage, promotions, and inventory while maintaining a quality store appearance,
- Monitor product costs and labor to retail markups/margins,
- Provide excellent customer service experience, handle customer complaints, feedback, and inquiries,
- Train new team members, encourage team performance and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the team,
- Direct and supervise department staff,
- Arrange work schedule for department staff.
- Prior working experience managing grocery store, supermarket, or retail store,
- Effective verbal and written communication skills,
- Ability to direct and manage staff and collaborate with other team managers,
- Inventory management, scheduling and ensuring the department hits its sales targets,
- Plan and coordinate tasks efficiently, ensuring all operations run smoothly,
- Strong critical thinking skills,
- Budgeting, price-setting, and reducing wastage.
