The application for the Akamai 2025 Internship Program
is currently open!
Eligible students include those either attending a University of Hawaiʻi campus or kamaʻaina studying out of state. Placements are available in Hilo and Waimea on Big Island, Kihei and Pukalani on Maui, as well as at UC Observatories, Santa Cruz. is currently open!
The program has placements for students from community colleges and four-year universities from a wide range of STEM majors. Akamai is a unique program with a long history of success. There are now more than 500 Akamai alumni, and more than 250 working in STEM jobs.
