Kailua-Kona, HI – Hawai‘i Community Federal Credit Union (HCFCU) is proud to announce the appointment of Tyson Klask as its new Vice President of Operations, effective April 21, 2025. Tyson joined the HCFCU ‘ohana in 2017 and most recently served as Hilo Branch Manager, where he led the successful opening and growth of HCFCU’s first East Hawai‘i branch. A dedicated leader with a passion for mentorship and member service, Tyson brings more than three decades of experience in financial operations, lending, and team development to his new role.

Before joining HCFCU, Tyson spent 23 years as Branch Manager at OneMain Financial. Over the course of his career, he has demonstrated a commitment to employee growth, operational excellence, and community involvement.
He currently serves as Vice President of the Hawai‘i Credit Union League’s Big Island Chapter and sits on the boards of the Hawai‘i Island Chamber of Commerce and Hilo High School Advisory Board. He is also a graduate of the Western Credit Union Management School and holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.
