Kona Aloha Singers - New Member

July 22, 2024
Welcome to new member, the Kona Aloha Singers

Membership in the Kona Aloha Singers is open to all who love to sing with auditions required only for select small ensembles.

The Kona Aloha Singers is a non-sectarian 501 (c)(3) non-profit community chorus that rehearses and performs four-part harmony (SATB) contemporary music.  We sing Pop, Rock, Broadway, R & B, Hawaiian and, whatever else we decide to throw in the mix. We want to sing songs our audience can recognize, sing, and dance too.

The Kona Aloha Singers’ mission is to enrich our community’s cultural life through musical performances that empower artistic growth and lifelong friendships within our chorus. We celebrate the sound of the 20th and 21st centuries and honor the contemporary artists whose music connects us all.

Visit us anytime!
All our rehearsals are open to the public and to potential new members, so why not pay us a visit?

We rehearse Tuesday evenings from 6 - 8 pm at the Kealakehe Intermediate School: 74-5062 Onipaa Street, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740.  Lower parking lot in the band room.

The Kona Aloha Singers is the brain child of Ilene Cohen Harrington.  She began thinking about putting a chorus together in 2016 because she wanted to sing pop/rock music with a chorus in Kona.  Sadly, at that time there were no choruses offering a pop/rock music repertoire.  It took a couple of years to put the chorus together and our first full concert year was in 2019.  After a 2 1/2 year covid break, we started again in 2022 and we're working hard to build our history.  We would love to have you join us!
