HISBDC State Director


Joseph (Joe) Burns is our new Hawaiʻi SBDC State Director, effective December 1, 2023. Joe joined HISBDC in 2010 as the Oʻahu Center Director and became the Interim State Director in 2022. Under his leadership, HISBDC strives to expand its outreach, services, and effectiveness in working with Hawaiʻi business clients to start, grow, and thrive. Joe understands and advocates for the needs of Hawai‘i small businesses. He also ensures the well-being and professional development of the HISBDC statewide staff.
