The 2026 application for the Akamai Internship Program is officially open!
The Akamai Internship Program is a paid summer internship that offers college students from Hawai‘i an opportunity to gain work experience at an observatory, company, or scientific/technical facility in Hawai‘i. The program has placements for students from community colleges and four-year universities majoring in engineering, computer science, astronomy, physics, and other STEM fields. Akamai is a unique program with a long history of success. There are now more than 500 alumni, and hundreds are now working in STEM jobs.
Program dates: June 1 - August 8, 2026
